The Soap Box Derby has been a long running favourite of the Cub Scouts and Scouters. We’ve had quite a long list of famous racers too. From Calgary’s Mayor Nenshi, through to some of Calgary’s finest Police and Fire Department.
It looks easy, but once you are on those ramps and getting ready to go, your perspective changes and it’s suddenly a whole lot faster than it first looked!
The day kicks off at around 6.00am for us scouters and then things wrap up sometime after 8.00pm once everything is packed away.
